The Panic thriller, “Hysteria,” is now casting paid background actors for the Peacock streaming series.

Casting Taylor Made, the extras casting director renowned for their work on the immensely popular “Stranger Things,” is handling the casting calls for extras on Hysteria.
Set against the backdrop of the 1980s, a time marked by intense heavy metal hysteria and the infamous “Satanic Panic,” “Hysteria” unfolds as a twisted coming-of-age story and thriller. The Peacock streaming service has given a straight-to-series order for this intriguing drama that delves into America’s dark history of mass hysteria. Executive producers and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, known for their work on “Dungeons and Dragons,” bring their creative prowess to the project.
The show promises a captivating exploration of the complex world of the Satanic Panic, intertwined with ’80s nostalgia, mystery, heavy metal, and an authentically American setting. Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content at NBC Universal Television, expressed excitement about partnering on this fresh coming-of-age story led by writer Matthew Scott Kane.
