Attention Midwest! Have you always dreamed of being a singer? If so, Idol Across America is bringing American Idol auditions right to your screen for the 2025 season. That’s right, these are virtual auditions and you can do them right from home. Whether you’re in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, or Wisconsin, this is your chance to take the first step towards stardom.
For over two decades, “American Idol” has been a launchpad for some of the brightest stars in the music industry. With its iconic format—auditions, live performances, and viewer voting—Idol has created a platform for aspiring artists to make their mark. Now, with the “Idol Across America” virtual audition tour, you can audition from the comfort of your home and potentially be the next big thing.
The audition format for the 2024/2025 season is going to be virtual, just like the prior few years. Now, while they are virtual auditions, they will be held in real time and aspiring contestants/singers must register online, beforehand. After registering, you’ll receive details about the audition process and how you can participate in the West & Midwest Open Call on September 4th and September 6th, depending on state.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Participants must be born on or between June 2, 1995, and February 15, 2010.
- Contestants must be legal U.S. residents authorized to participate in the entire competition.
- Candidates must not be running for public office and must agree not to become a candidate for public office until one year after the final episode of the program in which they appear airs.
