Urgent Non-Union Casting Call
An independent short film, “Days Like Today,” is seeking an emotionally intelligent male to portray Dennis, a 19-year-old college student in the late 1970s.

Synopsis: Set in 1975, “Days Like Today” follows Nicki, a teenager prone to panic attacks, who must navigate his emotions alone after the death of his best friend and older brother, Dennis. The music Dennis leaves behind becomes Nicki’s guide.
Character Description:
Dennis (19) is smart, confident, and kind. He is the valedictorian, a star musician, and dates the prettiest girl in school. Dennis is Nicki’s best friend and protector, understanding Nicki’s anxiety as he once suffered from it himself. Dennis teaches Nicki how to connect with him through his music. Despite the difficulty of admitting vulnerability, Dennis does so for Nicki. After his death, Dennis reappears in spirit to help Nicki through his grief using the music he left behind.
