Auditions for “Shrek: The Musical” at Whitefish Theatre Co.
Whitefish Theatre Company is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of Shrek: The Musical! This high-energy musical, based on the beloved animated film, promises laughter, heart, and plenty of ogre-sized fun.
Audition Dates & Details:
- When: December 16 & 17 at 7:00 p.m. (Callbacks on December 18)
- Where: O’Shaughnessy Center, Whitefish, MT
- Arrival Time: Please arrive early to complete an audition application, waiver form, and script review. Enter via the north side of the building near the WTC parking lot and conference room.
About the Show:
Shrek: The Musical brings the beloved characters from the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film to life on stage. Join Shrek, his loyal sidekick Donkey, and a host of fairy tale misfits on a quest to defeat a fearsome dragon and rescue Princess Fiona. With toe-tapping tunes like “I’m A Believer,” “Big Bright Beautiful World,” and “I Know It’s Today,” this Tony Award-winning musical is a celebration of self-acceptance, friendship, and true love.

Casting Information:
Director Kim Kruger is looking for a large cast to bring this whimsical world to life. Auditions are open to anyone high school age and older, and no prior experience is required. Pages from the script and musical selections will be provided at the audition.
- Rehearsals: Begin in early January
- Performance Dates: February 20-23, 27-28, and March 1-2 & 7-8, 2025
Additional Info:
Copies of the script are available at the theater (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday), and listening to the Broadway soundtrack is recommended to familiarize yourself with the score.
