Want a small role in CBS’s new daytime soap, Beyond the Gates?
If you live in the Atlanta area, here is a chance. The new CBS daytime soap opera will be filming new episodes this fall and the production is in need of ATL locals who would like to work on set to fill various, small, paid roles.
As the first new daytime soap to premiere since Passions in 1999, Beyond the Gates marks a notable addition to CBS’s daytime lineup. Originally greenlit in April, the series is part of CBS Studios’ partnership with the NAACP.
Production of Beyond The Gates, began in November with an anticipated premiere in early 2025.
According to CBS, the series also welcomes 10 new cast members to its ensemble: Brandon Claybon (Grey’s Anatomy, General Hospital), Timon Durrett (Queen Sugar, Stuck With You), Sean Freeman (Finding Happy, Tales), Marquita Goings (Zatima, Woke), Maurice Johnson (Chicago Fire, To Catch a Killer), Trisha Mann-Grant (The Family Business, A Royal Christmas Surprise), RhonniRose Mantilla (Broadway’s Harmony the Musical), Ambyr Michelle (Snowfall, The Runarounds), Colby Muhammad (Broadway’s Jaja’s African Hair Braiding), and Arielle Prepetit (Found, BMF).
Beyond the Gates becomes the latest addition to CBS’s storied lineup of daytime soaps, which are many.

CASTING A REAL GOLFER W/ EXPERIENCE IN THE GAM OF GOLF.
BEYOND THE GATES is a new soap opera set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Here you’ll find a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Dupree’s, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty.
Below is the specific extras group(s) we are casting for at this time:
1 REAL GOLFER W/ EXPERIENCE
– African American Males
– AGES: 25+
(should also have business casual attire/suits as you will film a country club scene as well)
– WARDROBE NOTE: Majority of the scenes that this specific group of BG will be in takes place in a VERY UPSCALE, WEALTHY COUNTRY CLUB. That being said, please keep this in mind when you submit.
The rate for PAID BG on this project is:
– $175/12 for daily shoot days.
Payments will be received in the form of a check in the mail within 2 weeks after filming and processing from the digital Extras Payroll Platform, EVERYSET.
