Casting Call for Maine Horror Film “The Outhouse” – Auditions in Bangor This Friday

Do you live in Bangor, Maine? Are you ready to be cast in a speaking role in a horror movie?  If so, open auditions for actors are coming up this weekend for a movie that will be filming in Maine.

The creators of the upcoming feature The Outhouse are looking for actors to join their cast, with auditions being held in the Bangor area on Friday, September 20th. This opportunity is open to both experienced actors and newcomers eager to dive into the horror genre.

About the production:

The Outhouse, directed by Justin Taggett, is a 90s-style creature feature with a modern twist, focusing on themes of family trauma and mental health. The film blends emotional depth with classic horror elements, creating a layered narrative that explores the impact of buried trauma and the external horrors that push characters to confront their past and emerge stronger.

The production is seeking males and females aged 18-30, and while prior acting experience is recommended, it’s not required. Taggett is searching for actors who are comfortable with vulnerability on screen and able to deliver authentic, emotionally charged performances.

Auditions will include cold reads from provided scripts, and participants are encouraged to bring their own monologues if they’d like.
