North Idaho College Theatre and Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre Announce Collaboration on Clue: The Musical

North Idaho College Theatre Department and Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre are teaming up for the first time to produce Clue: The Musical, creating a unique opportunity for college students and community performers alike. This collaboration merges artistic excellence with educational training, offering participants the chance to develop their skills while working alongside industry professionals.

“This partnership is a natural evolution in strengthening the missions of both organizations,” said Chuck Ethridge, Executive Artistic Director of Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre. “It’s an exciting way to enhance the talents of performers, technicians, and crew throughout our region.”

Set to bring the beloved board game to life, Clue: The Musical invites audiences to solve the mystery of who killed Mr. Boddy, where, and with what weapon—all in an interactive stage format that blends humor and intrigue.

Audition Details

  • Dates: Wednesday, January 29, and Thursday, January 30
  • Location: North Idaho College (advance registration required)
  • Registration: Visit cstidaho.com/auditions/nic-clue to schedule an audition appointment.
  • What to Prepare: A one-minute song selection with sheet music or a phone track (an accompanist will be available). Cold readings from the script will follow the musical audition.

Who Can Audition?

This production is open to all college students, including dual-enrolled students, and community performers aged 16–106. Whether you’re an experienced performer or new to the stage, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to showcase your talents.

Cast of Characters

  • Mr. Boddy: Charismatic host with a soaring baritone/tenor voice.
  • Mrs. Peacock: A manipulative socialite with a mezzo belt.
  • Professor Plum: A witty intellectual with a baritone voice.
  • Miss Scarlet: A clever and alluring vixen with a wide vocal range and belt.
  • Colonel Mustard: A pompous military man with a baritone voice.
  • Mrs. White: A lively cockney maid, portrayed by a man, with a wide vocal range.
  • Mr. Green: A suave wheeler-dealer with a baritone/tenor voice.
  • Detective: A sharp, humorous female with an interesting singing voice.

This exciting partnership promises to blend artistry and education, offering a rewarding experience for all involved.
