Auditions are being held in New York City for performers who want to bring classic Disney productions to life in their vibrant stage productions. In a joint audition with Hong Kong Disneyland, they’re casting for roles from Moana, The Princess and the Frog, Frozen, and Tangled. Casting directors are seeking performers who can combine dynamic singing, expressive movement, and emotional storytelling.

Shanghai Disney Resort® is holding auditions for talented music theatre vocalists to portray iconic Disney characters from Moana, The Princess and the Frog, Frozen, and Tangled. This is a rare chance to be a part of the Shanghai Disney Resort Cast, captivating audiences through song and storytelling in stage shows and potential special events.
Looking For:
- Strong vocalists with a powerful, dynamic range and emotional depth.
- Experienced actors with expressive movement skills and a compelling stage presence.
Performers should be able to connect authentically with their chosen songs and embody the characters they portray.
Roles Available & Vocal Ranges:
- Moana: A (below middle C) to C# (minor 9th above middle C)
- Tiana: G (below middle C) to F (12th above middle C)
- Rapunzel/Elsa: E (below middle C) to D (9th above middle C)

Audition Preparation:
- Vocal Selection: Prepare 16 bars of a song of your choice, with sheet music accompaniment, that you connect with deeply and can deliver with honesty and emotion.
- Movement Combination: Candidates advancing may be asked to perform a movement sequence.
- Callback Information: Callbacks will occur the next day, November 12. Availability for callbacks is required.
Contract Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold a current passport valid through December 2025.
- Available for a contract starting as early as March 2025, lasting approximately nine months.
- Willing to relocate to Shanghai, China, for the duration of the contract.
