New York area performers have a chance to audition for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines production of “Hair Spray.”
If you are a performer in the New York City area and would love to land a theatrical gig, performed at sea. Here is your chance. The Royal Caribbean auditions are open for both principal roles and ensemble positions. There will be an open call at the end of this month and performers with representation can request an appointment prior to the open call.
HAIRSPRAY – PRINCIPALS AND ENSEMBLE – NEW YORK
Roles:
Principals: Strong Singer/Actors with ability to sing both muscical theater and pop. Featured and Lead Vocalists hired for HAIRSPRAY (3-4 performances weekly) will also perform in our Signature production show onboard the Symphony of the Seas: FLIGHT (3-4 performances weekly). Movement or dance background ability a plus. Candidates must be available and willing to travel internationally aboard our ships.
Ensemble: Dancer/Singers with strong technical dance abilty. Dancer/Vocalist Ensemble hired for HAIRSPRAY (3-4 performances weekly) will also perform in our Signature production show onboard the Symphony of the Seas, FLIGHT (3-4 performances weekly). The ability to sing both musical theatre and pop is an asset. Candidates must be available and willing to travel internationally aboard our ships.

Principals: Prepare two songs – one traditional musical theater and one pop/rock.
Ensemble: Please come prepared to dance first. Also prepare a 16 bar cut of a pop/rock song.
Bring headshot, resume, and personal songbook in case you are asked to sing something different.
