“Viral Vengeance”

Auditions for the independent low-budgeted short film VIRAL VENGEANCE will take place at Vision Studios on Monday, June 10, from 6pm till 9pm. The doors will open at 5:30pm and auditions will start at 6pm sharp. Vision Studios is located on 915 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
NAOMI (early-to-mid 30s; 5’, 7” to 6’; athletic body type)
She’s a successful politician who left behind her youthful idealism as she clawed her way up to the upper echelons of the political hierarchy. She’s a tall, classical Beyoncé-type beauty whose expensive attire broadcasts her sense of power, influence, & self-importance. She considers all relationships transactional and is irked her former boyfriend Saul refuses to accept her belief.
SAUL (late 20s-to-early 30s; 5’, 9” to 6’; lean/slim body type)
He’s Naomi’s former lover & erstwhile political supporter who became alienated from Naomi as her ambitions crowded out their love for each other. His embrace of a Goth lifestyle indicates his alienation from society but he’s not as committed to it as is his sister. Against his sister’s wishes, he makes an attempt to save Naomi from the consequences of her ambitions.
PAULA (late 20s-to-early 30s; 5’, 7” to 5’ 11”; slim-with-curves body type)
Saul’s sister blames the negative impact Naomi’s politics have had on her life and the life of her brother. She’s the Hollywood version of Madonna as Goth Queen with emphasis on a stylish form of “come hither” sexuality strong enough to seduce the Grim Reaper himself. She’s VERY close to her brother and hates what she views as Naomi’s cavalier treatment of him.

There will be NO Zoom or videotaped auditions. This will be a live cold reading. Sides will be available at the studio and please be prepared to deliver one dramatic monologue. Please also bring two (2) identical hardcopy headshots/resumes. Do NOT send headshot/resumes via e-mail or social media. Theatrical experience in performing classic plays is a BIG plus. So, too, is the ability to cry on cue. If possible, please come to the audition dressed in character (as described below). Actors who pass the audition will be notified within a week.
