Open auditions in West Virginia.
Theatre West Virginia (TWV) is gearing up for an exciting season of outdoor dramas at Grandview, and auditions for the 2024 show casts are coming this month.
Auditions will take place virtually and in person from February 22 to 24.

Since its inception in 1961, Theatre West Virginia has gained global recognition for its captivating summer outdoor dramas staged at the Cliffside Amphitheatre at Grandview, now part of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The theater’s inaugural performance of “Honey in the Rock” marked the beginning of its legacy, bringing to life the stirring tale of West Virginia’s tumultuous birth amidst the scenic beauty of the Grandview overlook.

Actors, singers, and dancers interested in auditioning must schedule appointments between 7 and 9 p.m. on February 22 and 23, as well as from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 24.
For the audition, all applicants are required to perform up to five minutes of contemporary monologues and up to three minutes of any song from Footloose, which is among the productions to be staged. Dancers should include a dance reel as part of their audition package. Additionally, actors and singers must prepare two contrasting monologues and up to five minutes of performance material.
Singers are requested to submit vocal auditions featuring a song from Footloose via email or a link before their in-person audition. All auditions will be recorded, and applicants must bring or email a photograph and resume.
