Announcing open auditions for the upcoming production of Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling. This heartwarming classic will be co-produced by Studio: Onyx and Orange Box Theater.

Character Breakdown (Open Ethnicity for All Roles):
- M’Lynn Eatenton (50-60): The strong, supportive mother of Shelby, always holding the family together.
- Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie (20s-30s): M’Lynn’s spirited daughter, determined to live her life fully despite her health issues.
- Truvy Jones (40-50): The warm and humorous owner of the beauty salon who believes in the healing power of a great hairstyle.
- Annelle Dupuy-Desoto (20s): Truvy’s shy new assistant who undergoes a major transformation throughout the play.
- Clairee Belcher (60-70): The sharp-tongued but wise widow of the former mayor, always quick with a sarcastic remark.
- Ouiser Boudreaux (60-70): A tough, no-nonsense woman with a sharp wit and a softer side hidden beneath her gruff exterior.
Please note that this production requires full commitment due to the tight rehearsal and performance schedule. A modest stipend will be provided for all actors.
