Calling All Aspiring Performers: Join GEAR’s All-Abilities Production of “Spice of Life”
Theater auditions announced for GEAR being held in multiple places in Rhode Island.
GEAR short for “Give Everyone A Role,” is excited to announce open casting for its upcoming all-abilities production, “Spice of Life,” set to hit the stage this November. GEAR is a unique theater group that welcomes individuals of all abilities, offering opportunities in acting, technical production, and behind-the-scenes roles. Led by the dedicated Beth Berry, GEAR has been fostering a supportive and inclusive theater community for years.
No auditions are required—everyone who signs up will be cast in a role! This inclusive approach ensures that anyone with a passion for theater has a place in the production.
Casting Sign-Up Dates:
- Thursday, August 29: 10:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St., Wakefield.
- Tuesday, September 3: 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Frank Olean Center, 93 Airport Rd., Westerly.
- Wednesday, September 4: 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St., Wakefield.
Rehearsals will begin on September 10 and will be limited to just one hour per week, making it easy for participants to balance their other commitments. With a total of nine hours of rehearsal time, the cast will work together to memorize lines, block scenes, choreograph, and costume before heading into tech week.
