If you live in the Washington, D.C. area, here is a chance to get into a Netflix show in a small, non-speaking, paid role as a background actor on set.
“Zero Day” is now in production in D.C., and extras casting directors at GWCI are holding a casting call to fill a bunch of background roles, including people to portray National Guard members.
Filming is tentatively scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16, with costume fitting and haircut on June 14 in D.C. You must be local to the DMV area. The pay rate is $176 for 10 hours. Please note that this background role is NOT covered by the SAG-AFTRA CBA, and you must be able to present valid identification to fill out a Federal I9 form and be paid.

“Zero Day” is an upcoming Netflix political thriller series set to debut in a few months, directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and featuring an ensemble cast led by Robert De Niro and Lizzy Caplan. Produced by Eric Newman (Narcos, The Watcher) and Noah Oppenheim, the series delves into the heart of a chilling global cyberattack, unraveling a web of political conspiracy and intrigue.
Robert De Niro stars as George Mullen, a former president who comes out of retirement following a massive cyberattack, alongside Lizzy Caplan as Alexandra Mullen, Jesse Plemons as Roger Carlson, and Joan Allen as Sheila Mullen. The series boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Connie Britton, Bill Camp, Dan Stevens, and Angela Bassett.
