The Righteous Gemstones is now filming in Charleston, South Carolina.
The casting directors for HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones have put out a casting call for paid extras that live in the Charleston area – Those interested are able to follow the directions below to get their submissions directly to the show’s extras casting team. Casting team at Tona Dahlquist, who are the extras casting directors in the Charleston area are gearing up for season 4 of “The Righeous Gemstones” and will be in need of paid background of all ages for the filming in 2024 for the 2024/2025 season.
About the show:
“The Righteous Gemstones” is a dark comedy series created by Danny McBride that premiered in 2019. “The Righteous Gemstones” is set in the world of evangelical mega churches, the show follows the dysfunctional Gemstone family as they get entangled in the greed, power struggles, and scandals within their ministry empire.
John Goodman, plays Eli Gemstone, the patriarch and founder of the Gemstone megachurch. His children, Jesse (played by Danny McBride), Judy (Edi Patterson), and Kelvin (Adam Devine), hold positions in the family Megachurch business and each have their own ambitions, scandals and quirks not so godly behavior that all try to hide from their flock.
Well into the second generation of a grand televangelist tradition, the world-famous Gemstone family is living proof that worship pays dividends in all sizes. Patriarch Eli, the man most responsible for the tremendous success of the family’s megachurch, is in mourning over the loss of his wife. Jesse, the eldest of the three grown Gemstone siblings, looks to lead in his father’s footsteps, but finds his past sins jeopardizing the family ministry. Next in line comes middle sister Judy, who secretly lives with her fiancé and dreams of escaping the Gemstone compound. Rounding out the dysfunctional trio is pseudo-hipster Kelvin, the youngest of the preachers and a thorn in Jesse’s side. As the family battles numerous threats to their renowned religious empire, they continue to spread the good word… and make a solid buck doing so.
