Destination Casting of Atlanta, Georgia, are the ones who are handling extras casting and stand in casting on the set of the film currently titled “R&B.”
Tyler Perry’s Upcoming Netflix Film “R&B”
Tyler Perry Studios and DeVon Franklin are teaming up with Netflix to produce R&B, the first film under their new multiyear, multipicture deal. R&B is a modern, faith-based retelling of the biblical love story of Ruth and Boaz, written by Mike Elliott and Cory Tynan.
Set in Tennessee, the film follows a young woman who leaves the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widow, drawing on themes of love, loyalty, and faith. This project is part of Perry’s ongoing creative partnership with Netflix and showcases his commitment to inspirational storytelling.
According to Deadline – The first film under the new partnership will be R&b, written by Mike Elliott (Brown Sugar) & Cory Tynan (Play’d). Most recently the writing duo penned the faith-based romantic comedy Relationship Goals for Franklin and Amazon MGM Studios.
