Auditions for Brighton Beach Memoirs

Art Centre Theatre in Plano, TX, is holding auditions for Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs. All roles are available, and the production welcomes performers of all races, ages, performance levels, and gender identities. Auditions will be accepted both in person and via video submission.
Brighton Beach Memoirs is a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age comedy by Neil Simon. Set in September 1937, during the Great Depression, the play follows Eugene Morris Jerome, a Jewish teenager from a Polish immigrant family, as he navigates the ups and downs of adolescence. The story takes place in the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn, New York, blending humor and heartfelt moments as Eugene dreams of becoming a writer while dealing with family dynamics.

- Preparation: Please come with a one-minute monologue.
