A major TV show is coming to film in Butte, Montana.
Butte, Montana is known for many things including it’s breathtaking scenery. However, one thing it isn’t known for is a lot of opportunities to be in a TV show. But, opportunity is coming to Butte. Taylor Sheridan’s 1923 Paramount+ series is coming to Butte, Montana to film.
A casting call is out in Butte, Montana for area locals who would like to be cast in paid roles on the show as background actors. Casting directors for the show have announced that the production is coming to Butte and is asking locals who would like a part in the show to apply.

This Paramount+ series, part of the Yellowstone saga, takes viewers back to 1923. Set before the events in Yellowstone, the show explores the ancestor’s struggles as they establish their ranches and fight to keep them afloat.

“1923” is a prequel to the popular series Yellowstone, created by Taylor Sheridan. Set in the early 20th century, the show further explores the trials and tribulations of the Dutton family legacy as the grandparents of the modern day Dutton family navigate the harsh realities of life during the expansion of the American West. The series features an A list cast which includes Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton, the patriarch of the Dutton family, and Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, his strong-willed wife.
