The creators of the beloved UK hit, The Great British Bake Off, are searching once again for America’s finest amateur bakers to join The Great American Baking Show!
The ABC show is looking for home bakers to compete in what they call the ultimate baking competition.
That’s right, the show is only seeking home bakers who have no professional baking experience.
Casting directors are on the hunt for home bakers who excel in a variety of baked goods, from delectable cakes and pies to beautifully crafted laminated bread. If you’re passionate about baking and have honed your skills as an amateur, we want to hear from you!
This is a show for amateur bakers, so if you’ve attended culinary school or worked in a bakery within the past 10 years, unfortunately, you are not eligible. However, if you’re 18 years or older and a legal resident of the United States, they would love for you to apply!
Feeling hesitant about whether your baking skills are up to par? Remember, this is an amateur baking show, so perfection is not a prerequisite. Life is all about taking chances, so if you have a passion for baking, take the leap and apply. You have nothing to lose!
If you’ve applied for previous seasons, we encourage you to apply again. Many successful contestants have applied multiple times before being cast, so don’t give up on your dream!
As for tips on the application process, we recommend uploading a diverse selection of baking pictures showcasing your range of skills. Whether it’s layered cakes, artisanal bread, delicate pastries, or intricate macaroons, we want to see it all! While a video submission is not mandatory, we highly recommend it to help us get to know you and your baking style better.
