Call for musicians in New Orleans to perform at the airport.
The Louis Armstrong Airport is holding auditions for street style musicians in Louisiana to play music in different areas of the airport. The airport is seeking a variety of musicians, both solo acts and groups to entertain travelers coming through the airport. Musicians / bands selected will be paid, plus will also be allowed to collect tips. The airport would like to find musicians that can commit to doing a few 3 hour sets per week at the airport with payments per performance of $125 to $175, for the 3 hours.
The airport wants to find, talented local musicians, including solo acts and bands, to grace its terminals with family-friendly musical performances.
Selected performers will need to pass a security clearance background check, as this is an international airport and also commit to at least one 3-hour performance per week for a duration of three months.

The airport is hoping to find musicians who are passionate about sharing their music, creating a welcoming atmosphere for the 1000s of guests who walk through the airport daily.
Applicants will be required to include a link to a video of their act’s performance for review by the evaluation committee.
This is a paid music gig, solo acts will receive $175 for a 3-hour set, while groups will be paid $125 per person (up to four members). Additionally, all performers will have the opportunity to receive tips. MSY will also introduce street performance-style experiences in specified locations within the terminal, providing further opportunities for performers to earn tips.

To be considered for the Music @ MSY program, performers or group leaders can complete the INTEREST FORM. It’s important to note that only one interest form per act per quarter is permitted.
