Auditions for Mamma Mia in Oregon, Wisconsin – Madison, WI metro area.
This enchanting story, powered by the timeless music of ABBA, follows a young bride-to-be who seeks to uncover the identity of her father. On the eve of her wedding, her quest brings three men from her mother’s past back to a Greek island they last visited 20 years ago. Filled with unforgettable songs, laughter, love, and friendship, “Mamma Mia!” offers an entertaining experience for all.
Straw Hat Players in Wisconsin are bringing the the beloved musical “Mamma Mia!” to the stage in their theater. This show is set to be performed in the Madison, Wisconsin metro area, specifically in the town of Oregon, Wisconsin.

Roles:
The cast includes 13 speaking roles and an ensemble. Speaking roles are for 6 women and 7 men portraying individuals in their 20s, 40s, 50s, and above. Ensemble players may be of any age and gender.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script, musical performances, and dance, so wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
Speaking Roles: 13 total (6 women, 7 men), portraying characters in their 20s, 40s, 50s, and above
Ensemble: Open to all ages and genders.
Audition Requirements:
Prepare a 32-measure cut of a ballad or pop/rock song from the 70s to early 2000s (no songs from “Mamma Mia!”)
Bring printed sheet music with the selection clearly marked; an accompanist will be provided
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for dance auditions
No backing tracks or a cappella auditions permitted
Video Auditions:
Those unable to attend in person can submit an audition video by 5 p.m. on May 21
