Pear Theatre’s (Mountain View, CA) 23rd Season General Auditions!
Season 23 at The Pear: where audiences will Be Transported and have unique theatrical experiences unlike anywhere else in the South Bay.
The Pear always has a goal of hiring 60% of our artists from historically excluded backgrounds. We don’t believe in “colorblind” or “traditional” casting. We are committed to making sure the backgrounds and affinities of our performers enlighten and inspire the interpretations of our show selections.

We encourage EVERYONE to submit for ANY role. All performers at The Pear are volunteers and will be paid a stipend for their work.

AUDITION NOTICE:
Non-AEA Season 23 General Auditions
Dates & Times:
Saturday, April 27, 9 am – 1 pm
Sunday, April 28, 9 am – 1 pm & 6 pm – 10 pm

Requirements:
- Actors: Prepare and present two contrasting monologues, totaling 3 minutes.
- Singers: Musical auditions will be held on Saturday, April 27 and from 6 – 9 pm on Sunday, April 28. Please select a slot on this day and bring sheet music with you. Prepare monologue(s) not exceeding 3 minutes, plus 32 bars of a song. An accompanist will be provided.
Callbacks:
Each director will hold callbacks for individual shows based on these general auditions. If called back, directors will reach out to you via email or phone using the information provided on the submission form.

General auditions will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 9 am – 1 pm and Sunday, April 28th from 9 am – 1 pm and 6 – 9 pm at Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida, Suite A, Mountain View, CA.

If you are unable to make these dates, we are offering the opportunity to submit your audition virtually. Along with your headshot and resume, you will need a link to a video of you performing up to 3 minutes of monologues. Please make sure your video is accessible and that directors will not need to “request access” to view it.
ADDITIONAL TIME SLOTS (6 pm – 9 pm) for both actors AND singers are now available on Sunday, April 28.
