An Atlanta theater production needs local actors to fill the cast.

In the midst of our everyday lives, we have asked ourselves “Why Me?” If it’s family, relationship, or even job related, we all have found ourselves asking this. Through the trials of Why Me, I found myself asking, “Why Not Me?” This stage play is a journey of Joseph, who must find himself fighting with family and finding love. While on his journey, life be “lifing,” but he gains strength and favor. In the end, he is able to hold his head high and answer “Why Not Me?”

Roles:
- Joseph 25-47 age. Shy, timid, people pleaser. Turns down his light so he doesn’t outshine others around him. Grows after he overcomes his life issues.
- Terry 30-60 age. Father of Joesph and his brothers/sister. Works very hard for his family. Strong spoken, but also ashamed of the cards life gave him.
- Sarah 30-60 age. Hateful, bitter, angry at the world. Tries to push her sons for more out of life but doesn’t shy away from drama.
- Johnathan 25-47 age. Oldest son. Feels like everything should be given to him by his family. Has talent, but doesn’t apply himself. Hates if someone tries to pass him in life even if it’s family.
- Mike 25-47 age. The brother who agrees with everyone. Doesn’t like drama and just tries to soothe over any situation.
- Steven 25-47 age. The brother who loves life. Makes the most out of every situation. Tries to help as much as possible.
- Erica 25-47 age. The girl next door. Very smart, sassy, and tells it like it is. Very wise and witty but, also loving.
- Tia 25-47 age. The sister of the brothers. Not a joke at all. Keeps her brothers in line and even has choice words with her mom.
- JC 25-47 age. The voice behind the story. Funny, but real. Has the spirit and soul for Joesph’s destiny.
