The next season of “American Idol” premieres next spring on ABC, and your journey to becoming the next big thing in music starts with an audition. The popular and very long running singing competition is currently in the process of their annual “Idol Across America” audition tour.

Virtual auditions for “American Idol” will be held exclusively for singers in New Mexico on Monday, August 26th, and this could be your opportunity to shine on one of the biggest stages in the world.
Open Auditions for American Idol Coming To a City Near You
Who Can Audition: If you’re between the ages of 14 and 28, you’re eligible to participate in these virtual auditions. This is your shot to perform in front of the show’s producers and potentially move on to the next round, bringing you one step closer to stardom.
What to Expect: On audition day, you’ll start by joining a virtual waiting room filled with other hopefuls. But don’t worry—you won’t be alone. “American Idol” has put together an interactive experience to guide you through the process. Friendly staff will be on hand to explain what to expect, answer any questions, and help you get comfortable before your big moment. You might even get a surprise visit from some special guests who will pop in to share their insights and advice, offering you encouragement before your audition.
How to Prepare: Make sure to review the full rules and guidelines before audition day. Registration is open right up until the day of auditions, but don’t wait until the last minute. Prepare your song, practice your performance, and most importantly, bring your unique personality to the screen.
Producers are conducting auditions over Zoom for hopefuls from all 50 states.
Virtual auditions for “American Idol” will be held for New Mexico singers on Monday, Aug. 26. Eligible participants must be between 14 and 28 years old. Those who sign up will perform for American Idol producers for a chance to advance in the audition process.
“You’ll join all the other contestants in a big waiting room. We have some people there to walk you through the process, tell you what’s gonna happen that day. We even have some special guests that might appear and pop on there and get some words of advice. And you’ll be placed into a private audition room with the producer. That’s when it is time to show what you got,” said “Idol” producer Brian Robinson.
