This casting notice relates to a non-union shoot for industrial web content that will shoot for 4-6 hours on Thursday, August 29, beginning in the AM hours.
General casting note: All roles, with the exception of the counselor, are meant to represent real, American farmers – not characters or stereotypes. The content, however, is comedic.
All characters should be able to pass realistically as rural/blue collar. All are welcome to submit.
Compensation: $300; non-union
Farmer One: Male/female, 30s-40s – has been farming for a bit, and is good at it, but frustrated.
Farmer Two: Male, 50s – tall, stoic – the great American farmer.
Farmer Three: Male, early 20s – the next generation of American farmer. Tall, skinny, maybe a bit on the nerdy side.
Farmer Four: Male, 60s-70s – There were two generations before him, two generations after him and now he’s the old guy.
Farmer Five: Male/female, 30s-40s – a farmer who feels a little in over their head..
Counselor/Therapist: Male/female – nurturing, warm, tough. A therapist in work boots. They have their work cut out for them.
