JAWS: The Musical!
An original 60-minute comedy/parody written by Wayne Henry, is seeking talent for its debut in the NYC Fringe Festival, April 2025.
Production Details:
Rehearsals: Sundays (2 PM–5 PM) and Wednesdays (7 PM–9 PM) from January 26, 2025, to March 30, 2025, in Cedar Grove, NJ.
Performances: Held at the Chain Theatre (312 West 36th Street) on the following dates:
- Tuesday, April 1 (Evening)
- Thursday, April 3 (Evening)
- Wednesday, April 9 (Evening)
- Saturday, April 12 (Afternoon)
- Saturday, April 19 (Evening)

Roles Available:
- Director
- Collaborate with the musical director, writer, producers, and costume designer to establish the show’s vision.
- Direct a cast of seven comedic actors.
- Plan and run rehearsals.
- Experience with comedic musicals is strongly preferred.
- Stipend: $200, with potential bonus.
- Stage Manager
- Support rehearsals, record blocking, manage props and costumes, and assist with technical rehearsals.
- Prior experience required.
- Compensation: Unpaid.
Casting Call:
- Chad
- Male (30s–40s), any ethnicity.
- Strong singer with light dance skills.
- Plays the initial love interest of the female protagonist, later revealed to be discovering his homosexuality. Shark attack victim.
- Compensation: Unpaid.
- Brad
- Male (30s–50s), any ethnicity.
- Ensemble singer with light dance skills.
- Portrays an ice cream man who falls victim to a comedic shark attack.
- Compensation: Unpaid.
