Actor Auditions -NYC Fringe Festival Play “Jaws:The Musical”

JAWS: The Musical!
An original 60-minute comedy/parody written by Wayne Henry, is seeking talent for its debut in the NYC Fringe Festival, April 2025.

Production Details:
Rehearsals: Sundays (2 PM–5 PM) and Wednesdays (7 PM–9 PM) from January 26, 2025, to March 30, 2025, in Cedar Grove, NJ.
Performances: Held at the Chain Theatre (312 West 36th Street) on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 1 (Evening)
  • Thursday, April 3 (Evening)
  • Wednesday, April 9 (Evening)
  • Saturday, April 12 (Afternoon)
  • Saturday, April 19 (Evening)

Roles Available:

  1. Director
    • Collaborate with the musical director, writer, producers, and costume designer to establish the show’s vision.
    • Direct a cast of seven comedic actors.
    • Plan and run rehearsals.
    • Experience with comedic musicals is strongly preferred.
    • Stipend: $200, with potential bonus.
  2. Stage Manager
    • Support rehearsals, record blocking, manage props and costumes, and assist with technical rehearsals.
    • Prior experience required.
    • Compensation: Unpaid.

Casting Call:

  1. Chad
    • Male (30s–40s), any ethnicity.
    • Strong singer with light dance skills.
    • Plays the initial love interest of the female protagonist, later revealed to be discovering his homosexuality. Shark attack victim.
    • Compensation: Unpaid.
  2. Brad
    • Male (30s–50s), any ethnicity.
    • Ensemble singer with light dance skills.
    • Portrays an ice cream man who falls victim to a comedic shark attack.
    • Compensation: Unpaid.
