Held under the stars at the spectacular open-air Burning Hills Amphitheatre in Medora, North Dakota, this high-energy revue combines country, pop/rock, and Broadway-style music, captivating choreography, and live musicians. Since its debut in 1965, the Medora Musical has enchanted audiences with its humor, patriotism, and breathtaking Badlands scenery.

This is an RWS Global casting call for featured Host/Actor roles in the Medora Musical. Note that the auditions are in New York City, with the full summer production taking place in Medora, ND. Travel is required for this opportunity.

Union and Non-Union performers aged 18 and older with previous theater or live entertainment experience are encouraged to apply.

- Denali Douglas (Female-identifying): A scholar of Western American History.
- Alastair Rourke (Male-identifying): An adventurer and archaeologist.
Performers of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, and abilities are welcome to audition.

Workshop (NYC):

- Pay: $844.00/week
Full Production (Medora, ND):
- First day of rehearsal: May 5, 2025
- Previews: June 2, 2025
- Opening Day: June 5, 2025
- Final Performance: September 13, 2025
- Pay: $700–$750/week
Note: All performers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Audition Instructions:
Actors/Hosts:
- Prepare a brief comedic monologue and a 16-32 bar cut of a country or contemporary pop/rock song.
- Contemporary musical theater selections are also acceptable.
- Provide sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be available.
