There is a Casting Call for “The Misny Movie” – A Mockumentary on Tim Misny
Braindagger Films is casting local actors for The Misny Movie, an independent mockumentary exploring the life and career of Tim Misny, a well-known Ohio attorney famous for his aggressive legal ads and his catchphrase, “I’ll make them pay!” This film seeks independent actors in the Ohio area wanting to play the needed character roles. Since this is a mockumentary, I would imagine humor will be a big thing in the roles.
Misney seems to be a sort of celebrity in Ohio with the Akron Beacon Journal printing a story about a place they call “Misneyland.” “Misneyland” seems to refer to Tim Misny’s 16,000 square ft. home and the 80-acre estate that he owns. The attorney gained prominence from his creative use of billboard media for many years.
Now, keep in mind that one thing the current online, video audition request for “The Misney Movie” actually mentions is pay. So, not sure if roles are paid or not.

Roles Currently Casting:
- Grandmother: Woman, ages 60-70
- Young Tim Misny:
- 8-year-old boy
- 14-year-old boy
- Tim’s Girlfriend: Two age categories: 25-35 and 35-45

- Selected candidates will be invited to in-person auditions on Saturday, March 8th (Location TBA)

- All materials must be submitted by midnight on March 4th
- Those selected for the first round will receive audition time slots and script details.
- Please note this is a local film and the production is only seeking actors local to the Ohio area.
Additional Casting – Line Dancers Wanted!
Braindagger Films is also seeking line dancers to be featured in the movie. Filming for this scene will take place on April 13th at Thirsty Cowboy.
