The Netflix movie “A Week Away” is now being made into a television streaming series and casting notices are out for a variety of small, non speaking, but potentially reoccurring roles, in Nashville, Tennessee.
A Week Away is a 2021 Netflix musical film that follows troubled teenager Will Hawkins, who, instead of facing juvenile detention, attends a Christian summer camp. Initially out of place, Will soon finds friendship, faith, and romance, particularly with Avery, a camp regular. Angel Studios has limited information about the show in production, however they do state that “A Week Away” is set to premier on Netflix in the fall of this year, 2025.
“A Week Away” is now in production in the Nashville area and extras with On Location have a casting call out for paid background actors. No experience is required.

Filming Location: Nashville, TN (Antioch) – Must be a local hire (No travel/accommodation provided)
Filming Dates: April 7, 2025 – May 17, 2025 (Monday-Friday)
Union Status: Non-Union
Roles: Featured Background & Background
[CAMP GOERS]
- Male & Female, all ethnicities, ages 18-22 (must appear younger, high school-aged).
- Must be energetic, adventurous, and comfortable portraying summer camp activities.
- No visible tattoos, gauges, or facial piercings (except ears).
- No facial hair (or must be willing to shave).
- Must be local to Nashville, TN (Antioch).
Pay Rate:
- $72 for up to 8 hours ($9/hr) + overtime after 8 hours
- Approx. $126 for a full 12-hour day
- Usage: Broadcast TV Series
Availability:
- Core Campers: Available throughout the shoot (4/7 – 5/17)
- Partial Availability: 1-2 days per week (with notice)
- Limited Availability: One or two days during the shoot (TBD)
