Be an Extra in the Feature Film The Dish / Non-View!
A Steven Spielberg movie will be filming in Cape May this March 2025 and the production is seeking Southern New Jersey locals to take part. GWCI is now casting to fill background extras roles to work on the movie set, on location in Cape May.
The feature film using the working title Non-View / The Dish, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Emily Blunt, is scheduled to begin in March. Produced by Universal Pictures in collaboration with Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, the movie is written by acclaimed screenwriter David Koepp, known for his work on Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The film, currently untitled but reportedly operating under the working title The Dish or Non-View. Seems that it has used both working titles. The Spielberg film boasts an impressive cast. Emmy winner Josh O’Connor (The Crown, Challengers, La Chimera), Oscar nominee Colman Domingo (Rustin, Sing Sing), Oscar winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Bridget Jones’s Diary), and Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters) are set to star.

Seeking CAPE MAY LOCALS to portray train station passengers or drivers with cars
Tentatively Filming in Cape May, NJ: Monday 3/10 – Friday 3/14
PAID BACKGROUND (EXTRA) WORK PAY RATE: $216/8HRS
- Transportation to and from Cape May is NOT provided.
- Hotel accommodations are NOT provided.
- This production adheres to SAG-AFTRA guidelines, and background work is subject to a Preference of Employment provision.
Details:
- Location: Cape May, NJ – Cape May is located at the southernmost tip of New Jersey.
- Tentative Filming Dates: Monday, March 10 – Friday, March 14, 2025
- Pay Rate: $216 for 8 hours (standard overtime rates apply)
- Roles:
- Train Station Passengers
- Drivers with Cars (you’ll need to bring your own vehicle to set)
- Eligibility:
- No prior experience necessary – everyone is encouraged to apply!
- Must be able to present valid identification to complete Federal I-9 forms for payment.
