Open Auditions Announced for Broadway and National Touring Companies of Wicked
Singers Invited to Open Call in Los Angeles – April 21, 2025
The casting team for the Broadway and National Touring productions of Wicked, one of the most iconic and longest-running musicals in theater history, is holding an open call for singers in Los Angeles. This is a unique opportunity for performers to join the cast of the blockbuster show that continues to captivate audiences across the globe.
Wicked:
Based on Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel, Wicked offers a fresh take on the classic world of The Wizard of Oz, reimagined through the eyes of the witches of Oz. The story explores the unlikely friendship between Elphaba and Glinda, long before Dorothy arrives in the Emerald City. With unforgettable songs and a powerful message, Wicked remains a Broadway phenomenon.

Audition Details:
Open Call for Singers in Los Angeles, California
Date: Monday, April 21, 2025
Time: Sign-up begins at 10:00 AM. All performers must arrive by 12:00 PM to be seen.
Location: 3rd Street Dance, 8558 West 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048
(Please do not arrive before 9:30 AM. No onsite parking is available.)
Seeking:
Singers of all ethnicities and genders, age 18+, with strong vocal ability and wide vocal ranges. Performers should be comfortable with movement. Roles are available for both principal and ensemble tracks.
What to Prepare:

16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song, sung a cappella, showcasing range.

Sopranos may instead prepare a traditional legit musical theatre piece.

Bring sheet music in case you are asked to sing with piano accompaniment.

Please bring a current headshot and resume, stapled together.
Both Equity and Non-Equity performers are encouraged to attend. All participants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
