DANCER AUDITIONS – MEDORA MUSICAL in NYC
This annual show began in 1965 and 2025 will be the 60 year anniversary of this iconic production that celebrates everything from past American presidents to the frontier spirit. Furthermore, this years, 60th anniversary theme is “Faith, Family & Freedom.”
Workshops held NYC in February and rehearsals begin in May 2025. The show will from early June to September of 2025 in Medora, North Dakota.
The Medora Musical:
The Medora Musical is a beloved summer tradition held at the open-air Burning Hills Amphitheatre in Medora, North Dakota. Since its debut in 1965, the musical has celebrated the life of Theodore Roosevelt and the pioneering spirit of the American West.
Featuring a mix of country, patriotic, and Broadway-style tunes, the show combines high-energy performances with breathtaking views of the Badlands. With a cast of talented singers, dancers, and live musicians, the Medora Musical has become a cultural cornerstone, delighting audiences for nearly six decades with its charm, humor, and timeless storytelling.

Medora Musical Open Auditions:
Please note that the Medora Musical is performed in Medora, North Dakota at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre. Those who are cast for the show will need to travel to North Dakota in summer 2025.
RWS Global is hosting auditions for DANCERS to perform in the renowned Medora Musical, a lively summer musical revue presented at the open-air Burning Hills Amphitheatre near Medora, ND.

AUDITION DETAILS

Eligibility:
- Seeking Union and Non-Union performers.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Prior experience in theater or live entertainment preferred.
DANCERS:
Seeking charismatic and versatile dancers with a strong technical foundation. Candidates should exude stage presence, demonstrate mastery of their craft, and excel at partnering.
Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including Black, Indigenous, Latin, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern/North African/South Asian, and white individuals.
CONTRACT INFORMATION
NYC Workshop:
- Dates: February 3 – February 15, 2025
- Pay Rate: $844/week
Full Summer Production in Medora, ND:
- Rehearsals begin: May 5, 2025
- Previews: June 2, 2025
- Opening Night: June 5, 2025
- Closing Night: September 13, 2025
- Pay Rate: $700 – $750/week
(NYC workshop and Medora summer production will be cast separately.)

Vaccination Requirement:
All performers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
DANCERS:
- Arrive warmed up and ready to dance at your scheduled time.
- Bring a headshot and resume stapled back-to-back.
- Wear form-fitting attire that highlights your lines and movement.
- Male-presenting dancers: Please bring sneakers.
- Female-presenting dancers: Please bring heels.
