True Repertory Theatre is urgently seeking a male actor to portray Nathan Stein in their upcoming production of Ellen’s Boys, opening Friday, May 9th, in Scituate, MA.
About the Role:
Nathan Stein is written as a charismatic and confident man in his late 30s to early 50s. The character is openly gay and serves as a romantic interest to Gil Flaherty. Please note: this role includes a male/male kiss.

Plot Summary:
Ellen’s Boys is set in 1965 in the Irish-American neighborhood of Dorchester. It centers on Ellen Flaherty, a mother of six navigating a changing world and the evolving lives of her children. Her son Gil, still living at home, is at the heart of a tender and personal journey of self-discovery, while other family members face their own life-altering challenges. The play offers a powerful mix of drama and humor, showcasing themes of identity, family, and love.
Additional Opportunity:
This production will also travel to New York City for a two-week run in late June. Actors cast in Scituate who are also available in June will have the chance to perform in NYC.
