The Medora Musical, a vibrant celebration of Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy and the pioneering spirit of the West, is auditioning Singers and Singer/Dancers for its 2025 season. Held in the stunning open-air Burning Hills Amphitheatre in Medora, North Dakota, this high-energy revue features a mix of country, pop/rock, and Broadway-style music, dazzling choreography, and live musicians. Since 1965, the Medora Musical has captivated audiences with its blend of humor, patriotism, and breathtaking Badlands backdrop.

What We’re Looking For:
We are casting Union and Non-Union performers (ages 18+). Prior theater or live entertainment experience is preferred.
- Singers: Must have strong pop/rock and country vocals. Belters with a strong mix/head voice and tenors/bari-tenors who move well are encouraged to apply. Harmonizing skills are essential. Must be able to command the stage and tell a story.
- Singer/Dancers: Must possess the same vocal qualities as singers, with the addition of charisma, versatility, and exceptional technical dance skills. Candidates should exude stage presence, have strong partnering abilities, and demonstrate control and mastery of their craft.

Important Dates & Contract Details:
- NYC Workshop: February 3 – February 15, 2025
- Full Production in Medora, ND:
- Rehearsals begin: May 5, 2025
- Previews start: June 2, 2025
- Opening day: June 5, 2025
- Closing day: September 13, 2025
- Pay Rate:
- Workshop: $844/week
- Summer Contract: $700–$750/week

Audition Instructions:
- Singers: Prepare two contrasting 32-bar cuts (country and/or contemporary pop/rock). Contemporary musical theater selections are also acceptable. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled back-to-back.
- Singer/Dancers: Follow the same vocal preparation as singers. Select candidates may be invited to the movement call during callbacks—please bring appropriate dance attire and shoes.
