CASTING CALL: Emory University Student Pilot – Episodic Drama Cold Open

The Emory University Film Department is casting for a student-produced cold open of an original episodic drama pilot titled Lifin’. This is a non-paid opportunity; however, all cast members will receive a copy of the final scene for personal and portfolio use.
Project Synopsis:
Following the sudden and mysterious disappearance of their shared career coach, three college students—each with vastly different backgrounds and dreams—begin to uncover a reality that challenges everything they thought they knew about their futures. What starts as an ordinary day turns into a pivotal moment in each of their lives.

Roles Available:
Trin (Late teens)
An independent freshman navigating the high expectations of both academia and her family. While she maintains a calm and collected exterior, Trin secretly grapples with reconciling her parents’ definition of success with her own artistic aspirations.
Zola (Late teens to early 20s)
A thoughtful and introspective writer stuck between the allure of stability and the pull of passion. Zola is exploring their queer identity and struggles to present it in a world that constantly asks for labels they don’t fully align with.
Rhea (20s)
A sharp-witted junior who uses sarcasm to shield her insecurities. Deep down, Rhea dreams of pursuing a life in music, but financial responsibility and pressure from her family make her feel like it’s a risk she can’t afford.
