Miami Casting Call for Suicide Prevention PSA
Casting is currently underway for a powerful suicide prevention public service announcement (PSA) filming in Miami. The PSA will feature three separate storylines focused on a farmer, a teenager, and an army veteran. Each narrative will portray emotional, character-driven scenes intended to raise awareness and support prevention efforts.
Filming is scheduled to take place on May 28, 29, and 30, 2025. Applicants should list any conflicts with those dates if they are not fully available. All roles are local hire only — no travel or accommodations will be provided.
Voiceover work is also being cast and may be performed by the lead actors or by separate voiceover talent. Voiceover recording will be done locally in Miami, and all VO will be in English. A male voice actor sounding 40+ is needed for a standalone VO role, paid at $300.
Rates (Flat, paid within 7 days):
Lead roles: $300
Supporting roles: $200
Extras: $150
Army Veteran Storyline:
Lead (Veteran): Middle-aged man (around 40s), physically fit, with a weathered and tired appearance. Must be willing and able to swim in the ocean at dusk.
Supporting (Friend): A warm, kind-looking man in his 40s.
Extras (Friends): Five middle-aged men of various ethnicities who appear as neighborhood buddies sharing stories.
Teenager Storyline:
Lead (Teenage Girl): Hispanic or can pass as Hispanic. Must be 18+ but look younger, with expressive eyes and strong emotional acting skills.
Supporting (Older Sister): Hispanic or similar appearance, aged 22–25. Real-life sisters encouraged to apply together if applicable.
Extras (Teen Friends): Three girls and two guys, aged 18–21, all ethnicities.
Supporting (Counselor): Hispanic woman or similar, aged 35–45.
Farmer Storyline:
Lead (Farmer): Caucasian male, age 60+, with a weathered but gentle appearance.
Supporting (Wife): Caucasian woman, age 60+, warm and relatable, not overly glamorous.
Extra (Farmhand): Male, age 40–50, any ethnicity.
Supporting (Doctor): Male, age 45–60, any ethnicity.
